Mink Research Library
Aggregation of mink and fur research articles
The Fur Animal Research Library is a repository for academic research addressing health, welfare, and disease issues affecting the husbandry of fur bearing animals.
Originally launched in 2005 by Fur Commission USA as an archive of the work done by the first generation of leading fur animal scientists in North America, we are now including more recent material from sources across the globe, to be used as reference tools for current and future researchers, veterinarians, and fur farmers throughout the world.
Funded by the U.S. mink farmers, the Fur Animal Research Library presently contains over 1,500 scientific studies covering disease, nutrition, housing, stewardship and other critical issues going back to the 1930’s. The American farmer’s dedication to animal welfare and best herd management practices makes providing this free resource possible.
