KOPENHAGEN FUR PRESS RELEASE, JANUARY 16, 2006

Crowded Fur Fair in Beijing

The number of visitors to the Beijing Fur Fair, January 10-13, tripled this year compared to the year before. The total number of visitors reached 37,000 as opposed to 11,700 in 2005. The number of exhibitors was also higher reaching a total of 318 of which 283 were domestic companies. The exhibiting space was larger this year, but still the fair grounds were crowded with people who were busy examining the exhibited garments and placing orders.

According to the fair organizers, the companies participating in the fair were satisfied with the outcome. Most of the trade concentrated on domestic sales with Japan, Korea and Russia as the largest foreign buying countries. Kopenhagen Fur's Sales Director Erik Neergaard confirms that the fair was busy.

"From my viewpoint, it was a very successful fair," says Erik Neergaard.

The booth of Kopenhagen Fur was visited by a huge number of people attending the fair and besides that, Kopenhagen Fur attracted a lot of media attention. Among the media reporting from the booth were Beijing Youth Daily, China Garment and Accessory Times, International Business Daily, Metropolis, Garment and Accessory Culture, China Cooperative Times, Apparel Marketing and Korean Television.
