Conference presentations Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20 and Capitol Hill visits and other activities Monday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 23, 2001. The 2001 Fly In will be held at the Holiday Inn Capitol at 550 C Street, SW, DC.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Friday 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Registration
Saturday 7:00 am Registration
8:00 am - 5:00 pm Conference
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm ReceptionSunday 7:00 am - Prayer Breakfast
8:00 am - 5:00 pm ConferenceMonday through Wednesday - Hill Visits on Your Own
Monday a.m. - Resource Provider Pals Demonstration Project
Tuesday or Wednesday - House and/or Senate Hearings
The program for the conference will be fleshed out in January and February 2001. Topics chosen will be relevant to the theme of the conference and timely for what is happening on Capitol Hill and elsewhere around the country. The program will be split between general sessions and breakout sessions. Breakout sessions are generally designed as toolbox sessions to provide training in how to work with the media, raise $$$ for your organization, using the Freedom Of Information Act or other aspects of participating in our political process. At the 2001 Fly-In, topics specific to different groups such as resource providers, property owners, recreationists, etc., will also be covered in breakout sessions.
