MIFUR outlook seen brighter

WITH THE OUTLOOK FOR THIS YEAR’S INTERNATIONAL FUR FAIRS HAVING IMPROVED – largely because of weather-related retail sales – MIFUR is projecting good business. The four-day event opens March 3 at the Fiera Milano Rho trade fair complex and is considered the leading show for fur and leather fashion. Again this year, it encompasses Fur & Fashion Frankfurt and the shoe and leather fairs, the synergy again expected to benefit all. This is the 15th MIFUR and it covers 220,000 square feet in the new complex.

The North American Fur & Fashion Exposition in Montreal has launched an interactive website that allows retailers to find suppliers with a product-specific search engine. Retailers looking for furs, accessories or other products can enter those categories and receive a list of NAFFEM exhibitors carrying those items. The site, at www.NaffemSourcing.com, will be constantly updated as new exhibitors sign up for the event, which takes place May 2-4.
