IFTF PR Meeting and New Web Site
Chaired by Dr Robert Liska, IFTF’s PR Committee met in Milan on Tuesday, March 19 2002.
The Committee, comprising members of IFTF and the marketing organisations, discussed current PR activities including the launch of a new fur fashion web site, www.fur-style.com. The up-to-the-minute fashion pages, also featured on IFTF’s web site www.iftf.com fashion section, focus on providing fur fashion images and future trends.
In three sections, the site embodies the very essence of fur fashion. “On the catwalk” features over 100 images direct from the top international designer fall ready to wear shows of New York, London, Paris and Milan. Additional images from Paris Haute Couture will be added during the shows in July. Illustrated with fashion graphics, colours, silhouettes and fur types, the “Trends” section predicts future fur fashion for the upcoming year while “Spotlight on Fur” provides a reference guide to the impressive and ever-growing list of international designers using fur in their collections and links to fur and fashion associated web sites.
“On the catwalk” and “Trends” will be archived at the beginning of each new fall season providing a chronology of fur fashion of the seasons.
To give a taste of this year’s top designer fur fashion, “On the Catwalk” leads with a commentary written by IFTF’s external fur fashion consultant, Sue Evans. It opens on a very positive note with: “Another catwalk season in which we saw a further celebration of fur on the runways. From New York to Milan and Paris – not forgetting London – the message was the same. Next season, fur is the fabric of choice for designers worldwide.”
