Fur Commission USA is a non-profit trade association representing American mink farmers. We also promote the interests of the fur industry as a whole, and more broadly those of all animal resource users. In our cooperative partnerships with other associations, we are guided above all by the following principles:

• the use of renewable natural resources must be sustainable and environment-friendly.
• all animals used for human benefit must be afforded the most humane treatment practically possible.

Much of FCUSA's work is done by volunteer committees comprising active fur farmers. However, our programs still cost money - for administration, specialist staff, travel, office equipment, consultancy fees, and so on. So where does the money come from?

For many years, FCUSA's work has received funding from mink farmers and related industry organizations. The reality is that we now need to expand our fundraising base if we are to pursue some of our current programs to their full potential, and even think about adding other programs.
