Executive director, Compassionate Action for Animals (formerly Animal Liberation League); founder in 1992 of Students Organization for Animal Rights (SOAR), an officially recognized student body at the University of Minnesota; 2007 joins Ohio-based Mercy for Animals as director of campaigns.
